l downloaded the source code and I would like to reimplement it in a different language. So I would like to understand how the falling sand algorithm works. Is there any volunteer? Thanks in advance.

I've started working on heavily documenting the main processing loop from 4.4. Once it's finished, I'll publish the source so everybody here can see what's going on under the hood.
